WHAT TO CONSIDER BEFORE GOING ON TOUR? Very important: Please show up 10 minutes prior to departure time for tour check-in. Be on time so that we all have a smooth start of the tour! Tours will start on time.
Every participant will be asked to read and sign a waiver before the tour begins. WHAT TO WEAR? As tours will take place rain or shine make sure to be dressed accordingly. Bring rain gear and dress in layers on colder days. Wear comfortable clothing and good walking shoes. Sandals should have a strap around the ankle. Shoes with heels as well as flip-flops are not recommended.
WHAT IF IT RAINS? Our own rain policy is very simple: "It rarely rains all day in Pittsburgh!" We will make a final decision 1-2 hours before tour times. In case of inclement weather, we will cancel and reschedule the tour for either later in the day or for another date. We try our best to make any changes feasible for all of our customers. And: In case we get a sprinkle while on tour, we have rain ponchos available.
WHAT IF I CAN’T ATTEND THE SCHEDULED TOUR? No problem!
Reschedule: Your tour reservation can easily be rescheduled, at no charge, obviously subject to availability. Just give us a call or write us an email at least 24 hours in advance. If we are unable to reschedule the tour, you will be issued a tour credit for use anytime in the future. It does not expire. Yay!
Cancel: If you give us heads up 24 hours before the tour starts, we will cancel your tour reservation and give you your money back. In case of a less than 24 hours advance notice you will get a tour credit for use anytime in the future. No-shows: If you don’t show up for the tours without letting us know ahead of time, you automatically lose the right to receive a refund.
WHAT IF A TOUR GETS CANCELED? Walk The Burgh Tours reserves the right to cancel the tour until 1 hour before the scheduled time. In case a tour gets canceled, you may reschedule without any extra charges or request a full refund.
WHAT FITNESS LEVEL IS REQUIRED? The routes are very easy to walk, several stops (inside and out) will be made over the course of 2 hours. On average we won't walk more than 2 miles. But still: Be honest to yourself and think about your health condition. Are you capable to handle hot summer temperatures? If you have serious health problems, please do not walk with us, as we will be exposed to the seasonal elements. Also, can you leisurely walk 2 miles? Tour guides reserve the right to prevent participants from going on tour.
Stay hydrated, so don’t forget to bring your water bottle! Also, make sure you eat something before getting physically active. And put some sunscreen on!
